Sit & Go Introduction
When I first started out playing poker online I realized that I enjoyed a special kind of tournaments called Sit & Go. I started to do some research and reading poker books to improve my play. But I couldn’t find what I was looking for. Therefore I took notes and pieces and then this site started to come together. When I play poker online, I usually play low limit tournaments starting off at $5 buy in up to $20. I have my reasons why I rarely play on higher levels, as you will find out later on.
When I surfed the Internet to find out more about Sit & Go strategy and how to improve my play I got really disappointed. Most of the pages found just tell you the structure of the game and that you should play tight. But that is not enough. Far from it! I believe that Sit & Go are special and that you need to have some special knowledge about these specifics to be able to beat this game in the long run. Some people are just natural and they will understand how they should play different situations directly. Others don’t. And for them I wrote down this website.
Sit & Go
Sit & Go is a special kind of tournament. The normal game is with 10 people and the tourney starts at once when the table is full. There are also a lot of different variations, with turbo play, where the blinds increases fast, or with maybe only 5 or 6 people entering or with multi-table where you have 20-30 players in the game. When you look around you will find different types of structures. And you need to pick the one that fits your game-plan the best. If you are a very aggressive player and somewhat loose the games with fast increasing blinds would probably be your type of game. If you are a tight player you would probably look for the tournaments that provides you a longer time to get the hands you need to play.
A lot of players start to play Sit&Go to learn the game of poker. They can play a lot of hands for maybe only 6 or 11 dollars. This way they can play for real money and not risk to much. You want to play those players. They are the fish and most of them cant get close to the 30-35% ITM that you need to become a long time winner. There is a lot of money to be made gambling online.

Special Sit & Go
When you become a master of this special game you could go into the challenges or stairs or steps. With a small buy in you can claim al the way up to big money. A normal game like this is that the have 5 levels and you try to claim up to the highest level. Maybe you only need to put in 2 dollars at the lowest level and then by finish 1st or 2nd at each level ending up winning 3000 dollars at level 5. A big risk, but if you know your game it could be a high rewarding game. Those tournaments are different from other tournaments sense they are built upon the Sit & Go concept. In those tournaments the heads up chapter only applies to the level 5. Before that you will get promoted to the next level by finish top two or three. That means that you have a huge difference between finish 3rd and 2nd. And this sets the standard into these games and they are usually a lot tighter than normal sit&go.
